I am deep in edits this weekend. There are certainly tantalising bits of world-building I could share, but they’ll take too long to write about. Instead, I’d like to direct you to some indie books coming out in June.
I had the pleasure of reading all these titles before publication (I was given ARCs). Their Goodreads pages are linked below:
Wraith and the Revolution 17 June 2025

An immersive sci-fi that draws us into the life of its unassuming protagonist, Kye. His journey takes us from a gritty dystopian Earth to breathtaking places beyond the stars. Wraith has an energetic supporting cast and a healthy dose of humour to offset the darker moments. Keep an eye on author A.J. Calvin’s socials on release day as we have some celebrations planned.
Reflections of Lilje Damselfly 23 June 2025

An atmospheric novella about a water nymph who finds herself whisked away to an Edwardian-era spa to treat a mysterious illness. There, she falls in love with a human woman, but this is more a tender friendship than a spicy romance. It’s a cathartic story that has resonated with many readers who struggle with chronic illness.
Dance with Me – Kickstarter ending in 6 days

I can also encourage readers to back the Kickstarter for this illustrated novella. It’s a whimsical but challenging allegory about a dancer who is fractured in a physical and emotional sense. There are beautiful illustrations and gifts to be found here.
Thank you so much for featuring Wraith and the Revolution in your post today!
